ANC Launches Enhanced Cut-Off / Parting Insert Line

August 10, 2004

HOUSTON - A newly enhanced line of cut-off / parting inserts is the latest addition to American National Carbide's broad offering of carbide inserts for metalworking applications.

ANC's inserts for cut-off / parting operations are interchangeable with Iscar's Self Grip® GTN, GTR and GTL-style inserts. With a large selection of cutting widths and face angles available, ANC's inserts are offered in a selection of uncoated and coated grades for machining most of the ISO application areas.

New grade AN2120 features a PVD coating of titanium nitride on a tough, alloyed substrate and is designed for low to medium cutting speeds in unfavorable conditions, while AN3010, the preferred grade for high-speed machining on all cast irons, has a multi-layered ceramic CVD coating over a hard, alloyed substrate. Four other CVD-coated and uncoated grades round out the offering and provide machining answers for virtually any application.
