HOUSTON - American National Carbide (ANC), a leader in the manufacture
of tungsten carbide products for the metalworking, drilling, and
wood processing industries, announces an increase in pressing and
sintering capacity. "We have invested in several new presses
and sintering furnaces in response to an overall increase in business
this year," relates D. Greg Stroud, President. "Not only
are we keeping pace with the business level, but we'll be able to
respond quicker to urgent requirements and provide even higher customer
satisfaction."
The automated presses and computer-controlled sintering furnaces
are designed to ensure that the carbide products produced by them
are of the highest quality. "We take quality very seriously,"
says Adrian Waple, Vice President of Operations, "and these
new machines fit well with our quality program in that they minimize
the risk that nonconforming parts are made."
