This web site contains information regarding carbide products sold by ANC. Although ANC takes all available steps to ensure that its products are manufactured to the highest applicable quality standards, carbide products may chip or break during use and cause injury. Also, grinding carbide products may produce dust that can be harmful to human health. Therefore, the following safety precautions should be taken when using carbide products.

WARNING: All ANC cemented carbide products contain Tungsten Carbide and Cobalt, and may contain Carbides of one or more of the following elements: Tantalum, Titanium, Chromium, Vanadium, Niobium, Hafnium, Molybdenum and/or Zirconium. Dust from grinding these products can cause nose, throat, skin and eye irritation and temporary or permanent respiratory disease in a small percentage of exposed individuals. Permanent respiratory disease can lead to disability or death. Coolant mist from grinding may contain dust. Avoid breathing dust or mist. Use protective devices and adequate ventilation. Avoid prolonged skin contact with dust or mist. Wash hands thoroughly after handling before eating or smoking. Maintain dust level below OSHA or ACGIH levels. Dispose of materials according to local, state, and/or federal regulations. This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer. Cemented carbide products may break during use. Use proper eye and other safety equipment when using carbide products. Read Material Safety Data Sheet before grinding or using these products. ANC has no control over the use of its carbide products. The user must determine the suitability of these products in each application.
